Houses

The kind of real estate I like to invest in is SFR’s, Single Family Residences.  These are detached houses.  They’re all over the place, they’re on the market all the time, they make good income producing properties as rentals, and most importantly…  they’re very liquid.  If you decide you won’t to get out of the business, or if a particular house just isn’t the right choice anymore, they’re much, much, much, much more easy to liquidate at a reasonable price than are attached houses, townhouses, condos, duplexes, quads, or larger apartment buildings.

An added bonus is that you don’t have to moderate disputes between neighbors squeezed into one structure, and you can off-load a number of maintenance tasks to the tenant, such as mowing the lawn.
